Bluebird Cottage, Pickering - more detailed information about our cottage
Our cottage has a comfortable living room with velvet sofa and chairs, 4K HD smart TV, beamed ceilings, window seat and shuttered sash windows.
This leads to a fully equipped kitchen with oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge with ice box, coffee machine and dishwasher. It has a wood-burning stove which is perfect for colder nights. There is also a smart speaker so you can listen to music or podcasts and a kitchen table with seating for 4.
The first floor main bedroom has a king sized bed, quality bedding, shuttered sash windows and smart TV. There is a desk so you can work from the cottage if you need to, using our strong fast WiFi. We often work from the cottage, with one person using the kitchen table and the other using the bedroom table.
Also on the first floor is the shower room with a large walk-in shower and comfort height toilet. Towels are provided.
We have 2 double bedrooms, so the cottage can be enjoyed by a family, or by friends sharing.
The second floor attic bedroom has a super king bed (which can be separated into 2 full size single beds on request). It also has quality bedding, leather sofa and a smart TV, so it's ideal if you want a rest and some quiet time after a busy day out.
Outside, we have a small secure courtyard garden to the rear, with table & chairs; ideal for morning coffee. There are also small outbuildings with a washing machine, tumble dryer and outdoor drying line.
Please note: whilst the garden is for your exclusive use, our neighbours have access over it (in practice they only use once a week to put the bins out).
PARKING: There are 10 free parking bays directly in front of the cottage, including a couple of spaces sideways on. We usually park here. If they are full, they tend to become empty fairly quickly so you should be able to get a space. If you cannot park directly outside, there are a further 8 bays outside the pizza and Indian take-aways and these become available pretty quickly. If you can’t get parked here, then you can park for free on the street at Hallgarth (immediate left turn past the cottage) or you can pay to park at Eastgate car park which is straight across the roundabout and a 1 /2 min walk.
There are EV charge points at Eastgate car park, and Ropery car park, both of which are a 1/2 min walk.
